Dark Vixen Using Glamour Doll Eyes

Hi Makeup Lovers!

Today I am going to go over how I achieved this look, as a lot of my fellow r/MakeupAddiction goers seemed to like it and said they wanted to try it.

So first my face:

After I used my Exposed Skincare Face Wash, Toner, Treatment Serum, and Moisture Complex (which works to fight redness and puffiness which you can see in the picture I woke with quite puffy eyes), I rubbed one pump of L'OREAL Paris Secret No. 2 Anti-Dull skin primer all over my face.  If you try this product, do not get alarmed that your face looks slightly pink, it is easily covered by foundation, in which I used a pea sized squirt of Pallido's Liquid Herbal Foudation which I find to be nourishing and light, while still covering my redness and blemishes.  I did this with my fingers.  I then used Pallido's Natural Rice Powder Dual Wet&Dry foundation with my RealTechniques buffing brush.  TIP: When your primer/foundation is still wet, putting a pigmented powder like this over your foudation can either give you better coverage or UNEVEN coverage if you aren't careful!  I recommend gently patting the buffing brush in the general area you wish to apply, depending on how sheer you want your powder to be (on a larger area for sheer, on a smaller for more coverage) and then buff away!  I put on a fair amount because my skin can handle it, as I am quite moist, but this powder step can be skipped if you so choose.
Next, I took my CoverGirl bronzer in 102 (what is with these makeup companies and putting words together? Computer spell check no likey!) and my RealTechniques Contour brush and buffed it on my temples, under my cheekbones and around the perimeter of my face.  This is a personal thing, if you don't like too much bronzer, under the cheeks is fine.  As you can tell from the picture I went for a defined cheek.

For my eyes:

Okay people: ONE EYESHADOW.  I know, super crazy, I usually use like 3 at the very least, but today, I was going for a messy, almost haphazard kind of feel (hence the lack of grooming my eyebrows and such).  I took Glamour Doll Eye's pigment in Urban Trash (one of the darkest and most matte blacks I have come across) on my RealTechniques Base Shadow Brush and putting a piece of paper under my eye to catch fallout, I patted that onto my lid (oops, which I primed with my Lime Crime Candy Eye primer).  I didn't really have a specific shape in mind, I tend to bring my shadows up in sort of a triangle, just on my lid in the corner, then almost up to my brow bone on the outside.  Then I blended away with my RealTechniques Deluxe Crease brush until it looked like it is in the picture.  Then I lined my upper and low water lines with an ELF eyeliner pencil in black.  A sweep of my Lash Stiletto by Maybelline and almost finished!

For finishing touches I cleaned up under my eyes with my Sonia Kashuk concealer palette in Hidden Agenda, the one in the bottom left corner.  Some Carmax chapstick on my lips for a natural sheen.  I then gave my face a spritz with my new Skindinavia Moisture Lock makeup finishing spray for a dewy look locked in place all day!  (seriously, put this all on at noon, took a nap, went on a date at 9 with it still looking amazing, no touch-ups at all!)

And that is my finished look!

Much Love,

Lisha D
