More Posts to Come!

Hi kittens!

I have been going through some stuff lately and haven't even been posting to reddit makeup addiction lately either.  My imgur account is off the chain though, almost 250,000 views all together!  Thank you so much for your support internetz!!!!

On a serious note, I will be stressed out more than even starting next week.  I will be starting school, 18 credits, 6 courses.  I am going to be working at Michaels Arts and Crafts 20 hours a week as well, so this is a first and a bit scary to me.  I will not fail, I am quite the perfectionist and find it difficult to be below spectacular.

I will be trying to post a makeup look once a week.  I also will be getting an iPad, so I will be able to shoot some nice videos as well!  I am excited for what is to come, ladies and gents.

I love you all, all of you that looked at my face and thought it was well done, that my work was worth viewing, it all means a great deal to me.  I want to grow as an artist and I need the internet's help with that in the upcoming months/years.  I will make it, I will reach my goals, I will reach my dreams, and I will soar past them and keep growing and trying to make the world a better place, and what better way than through the gift of beauty, of self-esteem, of self love and most of all the knowledge that comes with that.

Much kissing and sashaying my loves!

Dark Vixen Using Glamour Doll Eyes

Hi Makeup Lovers!

Today I am going to go over how I achieved this look, as a lot of my fellow r/MakeupAddiction goers seemed to like it and said they wanted to try it.

So first my face:

After I used my Exposed Skincare Face Wash, Toner, Treatment Serum, and Moisture Complex (which works to fight redness and puffiness which you can see in the picture I woke with quite puffy eyes), I rubbed one pump of L'OREAL Paris Secret No. 2 Anti-Dull skin primer all over my face.  If you try this product, do not get alarmed that your face looks slightly pink, it is easily covered by foundation, in which I used a pea sized squirt of Pallido's Liquid Herbal Foudation which I find to be nourishing and light, while still covering my redness and blemishes.  I did this with my fingers.  I then used Pallido's Natural Rice Powder Dual Wet&Dry foundation with my RealTechniques buffing brush.  TIP: When your primer/foundation is still wet, putting a pigmented powder like this over your foudation can either give you better coverage or UNEVEN coverage if you aren't careful!  I recommend gently patting the buffing brush in the general area you wish to apply, depending on how sheer you want your powder to be (on a larger area for sheer, on a smaller for more coverage) and then buff away!  I put on a fair amount because my skin can handle it, as I am quite moist, but this powder step can be skipped if you so choose.
Next, I took my CoverGirl bronzer in 102 (what is with these makeup companies and putting words together? Computer spell check no likey!) and my RealTechniques Contour brush and buffed it on my temples, under my cheekbones and around the perimeter of my face.  This is a personal thing, if you don't like too much bronzer, under the cheeks is fine.  As you can tell from the picture I went for a defined cheek.

For my eyes:

Okay people: ONE EYESHADOW.  I know, super crazy, I usually use like 3 at the very least, but today, I was going for a messy, almost haphazard kind of feel (hence the lack of grooming my eyebrows and such).  I took Glamour Doll Eye's pigment in Urban Trash (one of the darkest and most matte blacks I have come across) on my RealTechniques Base Shadow Brush and putting a piece of paper under my eye to catch fallout, I patted that onto my lid (oops, which I primed with my Lime Crime Candy Eye primer).  I didn't really have a specific shape in mind, I tend to bring my shadows up in sort of a triangle, just on my lid in the corner, then almost up to my brow bone on the outside.  Then I blended away with my RealTechniques Deluxe Crease brush until it looked like it is in the picture.  Then I lined my upper and low water lines with an ELF eyeliner pencil in black.  A sweep of my Lash Stiletto by Maybelline and almost finished!

For finishing touches I cleaned up under my eyes with my Sonia Kashuk concealer palette in Hidden Agenda, the one in the bottom left corner.  Some Carmax chapstick on my lips for a natural sheen.  I then gave my face a spritz with my new Skindinavia Moisture Lock makeup finishing spray for a dewy look locked in place all day!  (seriously, put this all on at noon, took a nap, went on a date at 9 with it still looking amazing, no touch-ups at all!)

And that is my finished look!

Much Love,

Lisha D

Exposed Skin Care: Day One

Hi Beauties!

Today I will be starting my however-long-it-takes-for-this-stuff-to-work review on Exposed Acne Clearing system.  Here is a link https://www.exposedskincare.com/

I have very combination, acne prone skin.  My skin has not been clear since I was 12 years old and now that I am 19 and it is not receding, I am fed up.  It is one of those things that really brings down my self esteem and makes it hard for me to see myself as pretty.  When you have to wear foundation and concealer to bed because you are so self conscious, things must change.

I tried Proactive when I was younger and felt it was too harsh and drying on my skin.  I have tried many Neutregena products as well, none of them making my skin any clearer.  I looked up what was the best acne system on the market, and up popped Exposed Skincare!  I like that they include many natural ingredients and their goal is not to attack your face to kill the acne, but the balance the natural oils of your skin and even out what is out of whack.

I received this package in the mail today.  It includes a cleanser, a toner, a morning spot treating serum, an evening pore clearing serum, and a moisturizer.  I used it this evening and just for comparison later on, here are some pictures of what my skin looks like now:

As you can see, I'm totally thrilled about showing my yucky face to you all, but I want to be honest and really show the effects of this system.

I will update at least twice a week on my Exposed Skincare system "experiment". It says that I should start to see an improvement in my skin in 14 days, which is another reason they seemed credible to me, as they don't promise any miracle results.

Til the next time!

Hello and Welcome!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Lisha D and this is my first beauty blog!  I will start by making some photo posts as I try out my new skincare regime from Exposed Skin Care.  I was not given this, I payed for it, and all of the products I will review, so they are honest and I am not being persuaded by anyone else but my own opinion and results.

I think everyone should be able to express themselves through makeup; presentation is important in this day and age and I think everyone should have the tools and know how to present themselves the way they want to.

I am aspiring to be a television and film makeup artist, so all of the things I review will have to do mostly with makeup and application, to help those who want to know more about application and specific products.  Thank you all for reading and I hope this is helpful to you!
